Epson Corporation ("Epson") has announced the
release its latest two home HDTV projector models. With
the new Dreamio EMP-TW500*1 and Dreamio EMP-TW200, users
can enjoy extremely fine images of both DVD and other content
reproduced on a big-screen. These two brand new products
include Epson's newly developed HDTV-compatible wide aspect
liquid crystal panel, allowing users to appreciate the beauty
of high-quality imagery.
The EMP-TW500 is the flagship model of the Dreamio series,
featuring reproduction power of 1.07 billion colors. It also
has a black-and-white enhancement function that increases
the level of reproduction of the dark and light parts of images,
allowing complete reproduction of the brightest whites and
darkest blacks. This HDTV projector model is highly suited
to users who are meticulous about picture quality and who
wish to surround themselves in only the best home theater
technology. The EMP-TW200 boasts the highest brightness level
of any home projector in its class *2 at 1300 lm. It has the
same fundamental features as the flagship EMP-TW500, making
it an ideal home theatre projector for those serious about
picture quality. Users can enjoy a large, sharp picture, even
in brightly lit rooms.
Both new HDTV projector models are equipped with "ColorReality
2", Epson's original color management technology, a number
of selectable color modes allowing users to select optimal
color and brightness depending on the surroundings, as well
as advanced color adjustment features. The new projectors
include a lens shift function, which enables a shift range
(*3) of 2.5 screens vertically, and 2 screens horizontally,
as well as a 1.5x power zoom lens that attains the highest
degree of positioning freedom in the home projector class
(*2).
These two new HDTV projector models are the latest releases
in the Dreamio series, following up the EMP-TW10. Users can
now select the HDTV projector model that best meets their
intended use and viewing environment.
