Don't let your PC display cramp your style. Sony's new flat
panel display monitor complements other household electronics
and can be placed in any area of any room.
The SDM-HS73P model, with a 17-inch viewable image size,
features new updates in brightness technology and a black
bezel to match home décor. This display is the first
to integrate Sony's X-BRITE™ panel technology, originally
introduced on VAIO notebook PCs. The technology enhances contrast,
viewing angles, brightness performance and overall image clarity.
"With X-BRITE and ErgoBright™ technologies combined
into one panel monitor, there is a huge boost in screen contrast
and clarity," said Jim Neal, general manager for display
product marketing in Sony Electronics' IT Products Division.
"Specs don't come close to signaling the improvement
from this technology."
Sporting a high brightness panel monitor (400cd/m2) that
makes photos richer and text crisp and clear, the display
provides quality performance whether placed near a window
or in a lightless room. With ErgoBright™ technology,
the SDM-HS73P display can be easily adjusted with the touch
of a button with no loss of contrast or color fidelity. This
LCD (liquid crystal display) is ideal for consumers looking
to step-up their PC set-up with a new size or style display.
With varying viewing options, the new display enhances the
user's experience - from movies and gameplay to photos and
web browsing. Flexible viewing angles tilt to several different
positions, up to 20 degrees. Adding to the modern design is
a frame that appears to float in the air due to a softly curved
metallic base that lifts the panel from the desktop.
Available in February, the HS73P display monitor will be
priced at about $609.99.
