Sony Electronics is enhancing its flat panel display offerings
to make digital connectivity and multiple computer support
more accessible for the commercial market.
New 17-inch (SDM-S74) and 19-inch (SDM-S94) flat panel liquid
crystal display models will include two inputs -- one digital
and one analog -- so users can connect multiple computers
to one display, improving productivity while saving valuable
desktop space. And the digital input in particular will deliver
crystal clear images and enhanced color reproduction.
Additionally, a new cabinet color scheme will include both
black and silver bezels, making it easy to match-up the displays
with any workstation environment.
To maximize brightness, the display comes with Sony's ErgoBright™
technology that can be easily adjusted with no loss of contrast
or color fidelity, especially important for color critical
applications. This one-touch luminance adjustment makes it
easy to set personal settings and saves energy when brightness
isn't necessary.
Sony's new S74 and S94 flat panel LCDs also offer an exclusive
ErgoStand™ design, which makes it easy to adjust the
displays in ergonomically friendly ways for comfortable and
safe viewing angles.
The flat panel displays' efficient cable management system
and internal power supply will clear up desktop space with
their small footprint design. Both models are also PC and
Macintosh® computer compatible.
Each flat panel display features a thin bezel design, less
than ¾ of an inch on each side, which allows for side-by-side
mounting or stacking of multiple displays to maximize productivity.
Available in April with a black bezel, the S74 and S94 displays
will be priced at about $520 and $750, respectively. The silver
bezel model will become available in May.
