ViewSonic projectors upgrades bring additional value & features

ViewSonic announced a number of industry-leading initiatives to deliver more value and performance to its Viewsonic projector customers. ViewSonic will now offer a one-year limited warranty on its projector lamps, shattering the existing industry standard of 90 days. In addition, ViewSonic announced that a three-year warranty and one full year of its Express Exchange® service will come standard with all its Viewsonic projectors at no additional charge. Coupled with these enriched offerings, ViewSonic unveiled two projector upgrades on its popular PJ750 and PJ1065 models, which are among the brightest and most affordable presentation products on the market today.

ViewSonic’s one-year limited lamp guarantee is up to four times longer than most existing competitive warranties. The warranty applies to end users, resellers and dealers alike, and represents up to a $500 value for every customer. In addition, all ViewSonic projectors sold on or after May 6, 2002, will be covered by a three-year warranty, upgraded from the current two-year offering. The one full year of Express Exchange service delivers a replacement product in exchange for the one in need of repair within 48 hours.

"We are so confident in our Viewsonic projectors that we’re willing to stand behind them with promises that our competitors aren’t making today," said Jeff Klaas, director, Digital Display Products, ViewSonic. "We are completely committed to bringing customers the best products and the best support in the industry."

The PJ750-2 adds to ViewSonic’s already impressive lineup of Viewsonic projectors, which is currently the market’s fastest growing category of projectors. The PJ750-2 offers 2,200 lumens of brightness at an estimated street price (ESP) of $3,495. Its 1024 x 768 XGA resolution and high contrast of 500:1 ensure clear, crisp images in a variety of presentation settings. The PJ750-2 weighs only seven pounds and features "eco-mode" for extended lamp life and whisper quiet noise levels, and is HDTV ready.

The PJ1065-2, a fourteen-pound wall or ceiling mountable Viewsonic projector, now features 3,500 lumens and 1024 x 768 XGA resolution. It is ViewSonic’s highest performance XGA projector and costs $5,995 (ESP). Lumens per pound, it offers among the highest brightness of any projector in its super performance class, bettering some competitive products by as much as 500 lumens. It has the ability to accept a variety of premium inputs, including DVI, DVD and HDTV signals, and is capable of showing virtually any type of electronic content, while features like progressive scan, digital keystone correction and picture-in-picture enable high quality images and enhanced flexibility.

"Weight, brightness, and features are driving the design and sales of Viewsonic projectors," said Jennifer Litten, product manager, Digital Display Products, ViewSonic. "These enhanced projector offerings meet our customers’ toughest expectations for performance and value."

The ViewSonic PJ750-2 and PJ1065-2 Viewsonic projectors will be available through the professional audio-visual channel, authorized ViewSonic distributors and solution providers.
