LCD computer displays: ViewSonic® Corporation, a worldwide
Visual Technologies™ leader, today introduced two new
LCD computer displays, the VA720 and VA520, that bring high
performance with a sleek new design to Internet, gaming and
home office computing enthusiasts.
"Consumers today not only want high performance, but
high style in their technology products,” said Eric

LCD computer displays satisfy these requirements by enabling
people to transform their home office computing products into
entertainment devices.”
The 17-inch VA720 LCD computer display combines photo-like
image quality with a contemporary, ultra-thin monitor design.
It features 1280x1024 native resolution, 260 nits of brightness
and a high contrast ratio of 450:1 that deliver crisp images
with razor-thin edges, making it perfect for Internet and
home office applications. The wide 140-degree horizontal and
135-degree vertical viewing angle of the VA720 provides a
greater range of viewing for competitive gaming. At just 13.6
pounds and with a depth of 2.7 inches, the VA720 saves consumers
considerable space.
The 15-inch VA520 LCD computer display is also engineered
for high performance with a native resolution of 1024x768,
250 nits of brightness, and a 400:1 contrast ratio. Both products
offer metallic-on-black frames, which complement next generation
PC designs to provide users with additional display options
over traditional bundled systems. Additional features include
OnView® controls for making simple, custom image adjustments,
and compliance with TCO ’99 emissions standards.
The VA720 and VA520 LCD computer displays are currently available
with a $100 rebate at Best Buy, CompUSA and Office Depot,
as well as through ViewSonic distributors and mail order catalogs
with estimated street prices, after rebate, of $699 and $429
respectively.
Backed by a three-year warranty on parts and labor, the VA720
and VA520 LCD computer displays are eligible for ViewSonic’s
optional Express Exchange service, which guarantees a replacement
monitor within 48 hours where service is available.
