ViewSonic® Corporation, a worldwide Visual Technologies™
leader, today introduced the VP2290b, a 9.2 mega pixel (27.2
million RGB dots) LCD monitor displays that produces photo-like
images for use in applications where clarity is essential,
such as medical reference, engineering design, digital content
creation, satellite image analysis, and film editing and restoration.
The VP2290b delivers a breathtaking ten times the pixel density
of typical LCD monitor displays. With a density of 204 pixels
per inch and a resolution format up to 3840 x 2400 QUXGA,
the 22.2-inch VP2290b offers the highest resolution currently
available in the world. Engineered for ultimate performance,
the display also features a wide-screen format that allows
desktop professionals to display two-full pages simultaneously,
along with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 235-nits of high brightness,
and a 400:1 contrast ratio. A broad color gamut of 16.7 million
colors, combined with 170-degree horizontal and vertical viewing
angles and pure digital interface, ensures spectacular crystal
clear images with true color consistency from edge-to edge.
“As computer and imaging sciences become more complex,
professionals require more advanced tools to continue the
creation and analysis processes,” said Seth Ngin, product
manger, ViewSonic Corporation. “The VP2290b LCD monitor
displays meet the needs by displaying true-to-life images,
along with providing the technology that can speed progress
on applications like product design, geographic mapping and
the detection of human ailments.”
The VP2290b LCD monitor displays are on display at TechXNY/PC
Expo from June 25-27, 2002, at the ViewSonic booth—3422.
The display will be available in August through authorized
ViewSonic distributors, online or mail order catalogs and
has an estimated street price of $7,999. The VP2290b LCD monitor
displays are backed by a three-year warranty on parts and
labor.
