ViewSonic, today continued to execute its vision to offer
the broadest array of next-generation Viewsonic display technology
by unveiling the latest in Tablet PCs, LCDs and Plasma products
at TechXNY/PC Expo 2002.
Fueling the evolution of Tablet PCs, ViewSonic’s Tablet
PC 1100 was showcased today in a demonstration by Microsoft’s
Jeff Raikes during his keynote speech on "Next Generation
Knowledge Worker Productivity." Featuring the Microsoft
Windows XP Tablet PC Edition operating system, the Tablet
PC prototype delivers all of the benefits of a fully functional
portable PC, plus the added convenience of pen, speech and
keyboard input to more effectively facilitate key business
activities such as taking and converting handwritten notes,
managing tasks and accessing data from remote locations. The
Tablet PC 1100 builds on the proven feature set of the ViewPadTM
1000-2, ViewSonic’s recently launched Tablet PC with
Windows XP Pro, which combines full-screen viewing along with
the latest in portable wireless computing, including a more
extensive hard drive (20 gigabytes) and memory (256 megabytes).
"ViewSonic is committed to changing the role of the
display in everyday applications in every industry,"
said James Chu, ViewSonic president and CEO. "From our
Tablet PCs and wireless airpanel™ monitors that provide
the freedom to do business at the point of need to our large-screen
Viewsonic LCD displays that offer the ultimate image performance,
ViewSonic is redefining the productivity and value displays
offer users."
ViewSonic’s new offerings also focus on bringing the
utmost in performance to LCD flat panel technology. Among
the new products highlighted at PC Expo 2002:

images for use in applications where clarity is essential,
such as medical reference, engineering design, digital content
creation, satellite image analysis, and film editing and restoration.
Four additions to the VX Series of LCD displays—the
17-inch VX700, the 18-inch VX800, the 19-inch VX900 and the
20-inch VX2000—which combine advanced features with
multimedia functionality, making them ideal for applications
such as computer-aided design, video editing and gaming.
Four new VG Series displays for graphic users. Ranging in
size from 15-inches to 18-inches, the VG500, VG700, VG750
and VG800 bring additional performance and affordable prices
to corporate, SOHO, gaming and government users.
