ViewSonic, today expanded the functionality of its popular
VE Series of flat panel LCD displays with the introduction
of the VE500, VE700 and the VE800. The new flat panel LCD
displays bring more value and style to small office/home office,
corporate, education and government users by incorporating
the features that provide enhanced convenience, security and
space saving options.
The 15-inch VE500 flat panel LCD displays provides 1024 x
768 resolution, while the 17-inch VE700 and the 18.1-inch
VE800 provide an optimum resolution of 1280 x 1024. All three
flat panel LCD displays provide higher brightness (up to 260
nits) and higher contrast ratios (450:1, 450:1, and 550:1
respectively) than comparable competitive displays, to produce
sharper images, crisp text and vivid color saturation.

To improve ease of use, the new VE offerings include an AutoTune™
function, which automatically monitors video input from the
computer and makes the optimum image adjustments so users
don’t have to. Additional convenience is provided through
the user controlled OSD and Power button lock functions which,
when activated, prevent changes to monitor settings to maintain
an optimized image. For added space savings, the base of the
flat panel LCD displays can fold up 90 degrees for VESA-compliant
wall mounting, making the conversion between desktop and wall
mount applications easier.
With slim panel profiles and stylish two-tone metallic-and-black
design, the VE500, VE700 and VE800 flat panel LCD displays
are ideal for any décor. Optional matching accessories,
such as new ViewMate™ Slim or Office keyboards and optical
mini-mouse, are also offered for a complete contemporary look
that complements the latest trends in design.
The VE500, VE700 and VE800 flat panel LCD displays are currently
available through authorized ViewSonic resellers, distributors
and mail order, with estimated street prices of $419, $699
and $879, respectively, after rebate.
The flat panel LCD displays are backed by a three-year limited
warranty on parts, labor and backlight, and are eligible for
ViewSonic’s optional Express Exchange® program,
which guarantees a replacement monitor within 48 hours where
service is available
