LCD HDTV: ViewSonic® Corp, a worldwide visual display
products leader, today announced two LCD HDTVs that provide
enhanced television and entertainment capabilities along with
computer display functionality for home electronic systems.
These latest additions to the NextVision™ series, the
27-inch wide-screen N2700w and the 20-inch N2000, offer consumers
stylish and versatile television options.
Both LCD HDTV flat screens feature a sleek design and are
ideal for a variety of applications that require multiple
video sources and optimal picture performance—from digital
entertainment content to business applications. Advanced image
processors provide precision scaling and the picture-in-picture
capabilities enable users to enjoy a movie or television,
while simultaneously working on computer applications in any
high definition graphic or video modes. Viewers can use separate
picture windows to preview up to nine different TV channels
with the Multiview or POP function.

As the first ViewSonic wide-screen format LCD HDTV with a
native resolution of 1280x720, the NextVision N2700w is optimized
for high definition television and video. It offers plug-and-play
connectivity with both digital and analog inputs, an integrated
181-channel TV tuner and a high fidelity 20-watt audio system.
Compatibility with popular video entertainment devices, such
as HDTV set-top-boxes, digital cameras, DVD players and video
games, make the N2700w the perfect large-screen multimedia
display for the home.
For smaller-screen television and entertainment applications,
the LCD HDTV N2000 is a great fit on the desktop, kitchen
counter or bedroom table. It features a super-bright liquid
crystal panel with 16 millisecond response time that minimizes
lag time for moving video and high-speed gaming. An advanced
processor featuring a 4H comb filter and reverse 3:2 pull
down provides optimum video quality. Parental control and
closed caption options are also available to help customize
each user’s viewing experience.
Compatible with both PC and Mac® computer systems, the
NextVision N2700w LCD HDTV and N2000 have S-Video, component
(YPbPr) and composite video connections. Both LCD TVs include
an advanced remote control and DC power supply and a highly
reliable backlight. They can be easily attached to a wall
or a ceiling with an optional mounting kit.
The ViewSonic N2700w LCD HDTV and N2000 will be available
in September through authorized resellers, retailers, distributors
and mail order for an estimated street price of $2499 and
$1099 respectively. They are backed by a one-year limited
warranty on parts, labor and backlight and eligible for ViewSonic’s
optional Express Exchange® program, which guarantees a
replacement monitor within 48 hours, where service is available.
ViewSonic offers 24-hour, toll-free technical support, seven
days a week.
Visitors to ViewSonic booth #436 at CEDIA 2003, at the Indianapolis
Convention Center from September 5 through 7, can experience
the N2700w LCD HDTV and N2000, as well as other ViewSonic
visual display products, including plasma displays, projectors
and Smart Displays.
